Granny Weatherwax & Nanny Ogg

Builder Pate-keetongu is back with some more characters from his ever-expanding cast of characters from the venerable Discworld. This time around it's Granny Weatherwax & Nanny Ogg, and of course I still haven't read the books yet so I have no idea who they are. But as every character is added to his collection, I become more and more fascinated and curious.

King Of Hearts

You don't hear much about the King of Hearts. The Queen of Hearts is of course famous from Alice in Wonderland, but the King just doesn't get much attention. Well builder Likus is here to change all that with this well crafted and badass figure. She might be yelling "off with his head" all the time, but the king here looks like he would just take care of that himself.

Deadpool Duck

I don't know why, but every time I see the name Deadpool Duck, I hear that terrible song by Rick Dees, Disco Duck. And as much as that sucks I can't help but think if this character was in a movie, that would be a pretty awesome theme song if it was done right. Meet Deadpool Duck, who recently shot to AFOL cult status and infamy after becoming one of the San Diego Comic Con exclusive figures. Now he's a fully brick-built figure thanks to builder DOGOD Brick Design.

Frybot

Sure, you might think he's just some french fried potatoes in a cardboard sleeve, but you'd be wrong, it's Frybot from builder chubbybots! I have no idea what his primary function is, it might be to save us all from plain food with his twin condiment cannons, but it could also just be to look pretty awesome next to a burger. He could be part of a whole elite fast food fighting force, we just don't know.

Hot-Digity-Dog

I don't use Snapchat (and I'm not likely to start) so when I started seeing this little hotdog dude all over the place I had no idea what the heck was going on. But if you start seeing something all over social media, you can bet the wheels are turning in Ochre Jelly's head. And sure enough, here he is, a brick-built hot dog dude. Now, there's a bit of Photoshop trickery going on here, but I'm posting it anyway. All torches and pitchforks may be directed to Iain's house.

Man I'm Pretty

Way back when Cartoon Network was pretty much on all the time at my house. Luckily for me and my wife back then the content was pretty good. The likes of Dexter's Lab and Samurai Jack kept us as entertained as our young boys. But one of my favorites was Johnny Bravo. The writing, editing and pacing of that show worked so well. This character build by Cha Mi captures his swagger in perfect style.

King Triton And Ariel

Mrs BrickNerd is a huge Little Mermaid fan, so this one instantly caught my eye. And while it's a departure from the Disney aesthetic I really like builder LEGO 7's take on the Sea King and his princess daughter. The complex layering of multiple LEGO systems gives this MOC a curious combination of solidity and fluidity, something you'd expect from a strong undersea character.

"If It Bleeds, We Can Kill It."

The Predator was not only a really fun, badass, creative and original story, it had one of the best creature designs ever. I mean for a "dude in a suit", it was absolutely awesome. Builder Takamichi Irie has combined high skill, creative parts use and a clear love of the character to build this guy at a scale I wouldn't have thought possible, at least with this amount of detail.

Hei Hei

Widely regarded as the stupidest Disney animated character ever, Hei Hei the chicken from Moana was not only comic relief, but a subtle hero. Sure he's as dumb as the rocks he tends to eat, but as Moana herself pointed out his "strengths lie beneath the surface...deep beneath" and he was there at a critical moment to save the day. Builder LEGO 7 captures his vacant essence perfectly.

AFOL

There's no description on these charming images by builder manufacturajarema, so it's been up to me to interpret what I see (a dangerous proposition sometimes). What I see is me, or at least someone like me, an AFOL. This looks like an AFOL residing over his table at an event, proudly displaying his work to the public (and waiting for the next event, let's say blind build).
