Shaman Dabez

Deep in the jungles of Mirowai there lives a shaman with legendary powers. Travelers from distant tribes will travel whole weeks in search of his healing powers, but that's not the source of his reputation. It is said that shaman Dabez actually has the power to unshrink heads, making him very popular with misfortunate safari adventurers and members of certain political parties. Yes, he's that powerful.

I made all that up, since builder ϟ Sparks ϟ didn't have a back story, you're welcome.

Expecto-Abnorman!

Fresh from the campus of Hogsnorts comes a fresh batch of Rejectz from builder Melan-E. Features is Dumbledaft (with Faw-kAWKS), Harry Pooper, Herwhynie and Ron Weeeweee. They're going to learn spells, get oppressed by their potions professor, have some adventures and blossom into adulthood. All while trying to not get killed by he who must not be named.

Good Morning Coffee Monster

I drink tea mostly, but on occasion I enjoy a grande mocha Frappicino in a venti cup with a banana blended in and no whip (yeah, it's awesome). Regardless I understand the need for that morning caffeine bump, but I had no idea my loyalties belonged to this character, the good morning coffee monster by lummerlander. Yes, it's a seriously crazy character, but if you really want to see crazy, deny people their coffee.

Meet The New Public Relations Manager At BrickNerd!

Meet Krommaug the Defiler, the new public relations manager here at BrickNerd! All complaints about tossing the Helicarrier off the balcony, the lack of content on the YouTube channel, why we didn't feature your LEGO Ideas project, why Tommy has such a stupid face and of course where we get off with sarcastic posts can be directed to Krommaug, who will deal with your issues in a swift and timely manner. Complaints about Krommaug himself can be directed at Djokson.

Bumblebee

Just about an hour ago as I was leaving Starbucks I spotted a bright yellow Camero in the parking lot with the license place "BUZZZZ" and chuckled to myself. Then I refresh my Flickr feed and discover this stunning offering from builder Cesbrick. Say what you will about Michael Bay (and I've said plenty, I've worked with the dude) but this character resonates with a whole lot of people.

IT

Confession time, I've never read Stephen King's IT. I've also never seen the Tim Curry movie by the same name. And I have no plans for the new film. It's not that I'm afraid, just not interested. Luckily I don't have to, this brilliant sculpture of Pennywise by builder Tim Lydy is going to haunt my dreams for the next several weeks, thanks Tim!

Iain Heath Has Been Spirited Away

There can be no other explanation for it. Look at all these pictures, a Friends figure appears in each one, that's evidence enough. Of course, you have to admire the quality of the builds, they're all phenomenal, but that's besides the point. Clearly something has happened to my friend, I fear he may have wandered into an apparently abandoned amusement park and is being forced to build these MOCs in order to free himself. I hope he's done before BrickCon.

Seel

In his ongoing quest to "Build 'Em All", builder lisqr is back with another Pokemon. This time it's Seel, a water Pokemon that evolves into Dewgong at level 34, becoming 22% less cute in my opinion. The most unfortunate thing about this Pokemon is it thrives in conditions that will kill most trainers, so you'll need a big coat to see it in it's element, but your drinks will not need ice.

Wind

Here's a fun fact: I played the clouds in Cabin Boy. Yes, it's true. Way back when I used to do creature effects, and when the call went out at Alterian Studios for someone with an expressive, character face, Tony Gardner thought of me (go figure). You can even see my transformation in the first episode of Movie Magic (man that was a long time ago). Thanks lummerlander, your MOC brought back some strange but fun memories.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Web-Head

I've never been too much into comics, they just weren't available in the little town I grew up in. But I did manage to get my grubby little paws on some occasionally, and my two favorites were Iron-Man and this guy, brilliantly built by umamen. I remember having several action figures of Spidey as a kid too, and none of them had the poseability of this brick-built one, making it even more impressive.

Motorized BB-8

BB-8 is pretty much universally adored, and since the release of The Force Awakens we've seen thousands of iterations of this little guy. He's on everything from sports bottles to hats. Being nothing but round makes him naturally difficult to build in bricks, but our love for him means that builders keep doing it. Check out this version by Takamichi Irie, not only does it look great, the motorized functions really bring him to life.

Chicken Run

If you haven't seen Chicken Run you need to give it a chance. For one, it's by Aardman, the Wallace and Grommet people, so you know it's funny. And it's heavily inspired by Stalag 17, and The Great Escape, so it's a good story. And of course it's stop-motion animated, a subject close to my heart. Builders SuckMyBrick liked it so much they were inspired to build. And this is the result, pure enchantment and fun, just like the movie,

Lumiére

Humans have always been captivated by fire, from our very early days it has been a central feature of our lives. It cooks our food, it keeps us warm and it wards off danger. Of course we think we've mastered this element, but that is only by the good grace of Lumiére, the goddess of fire, depicted here by builder Pate-keetongu. So next time you turn that dial of the stove top or click that lighter, remind yourself to be thankful.
